Celebrating The Trend Of Ugly Christmas Sweaters
For years now, people around America are celebrating the National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. People wearing ugly Christmas sweaters are flooding the malls, offices, parks and other public areas. This silly tradition has become a part of the American culture.
There are lots of people who seriously celebrate the National Ugly Christmas Sweater day every December. For a resident of Tonawanda, Scott Kozak, spends the entire year preparing his sweater to be worn on the National Ugly Christmas Sweater day. Since 2008, Scott invites his family and friends in his house to celebrate an Ugly Christmas Sweater party. He requests his guests to wear the ugliest sweater they can find. He even gives out prices to the most hideous and ridiculous sweater.
When preparing for his sweater, Kozak scouts the thrift stores for multi colored knit bearing snowflakes, Christmas bells or Christmas trees. He attaches, garlands, beads, bells, ornaments, snowflakes and tinsels on the sweater’s front and sleeves. He arranges these materials to recreate an artistic effect. Scott Kozak has tons of crazy ideas and this year, he will try installing blinking lights onto his ugly Christmas sweater. He is just the guy who would do whatever it takes to make his sweater comical and unique. He wants to wear something that his guests have never seen before.
Hosting Ugly Christmas Sweater parties have already hit mainstream. Offices, schools, restaurants and bars alike host this yearly even.
