Online businesses thrive because of organic search ranking, this is a simple fact that pwd acknowledges after having been in the industry for many years. They have professionals that are good with SEO but none of them can crack the secret of Google’s algorithms. These algorithms are ever-changing because of the regular updates by Google.

It is now the task of SEO experts to alter based on what they think would make a different to a business’ search engine ranking. There are instances wherein Google would reveal hints with their updates to advise SEO strategies to focus on some elements and ignore some too.

One of the most essential aspects of SEO is the image alt text. It is assumed in the last few years that the machine learning system of Google is being developed to be able to understand an image and its content. This is the same role played by image alt text. Despite the introduction of machine learning in the future, businesses are still advised to give attention to their image alt text.

If there is one thing that is not quite clear with respect to Google’s SEO, it is the content authority. The goal of the tech giant is to make sure that users are provided with the more reliable website with authoritative content to boot. Regardless if this feature is monitored by Google’s algorithm or not, the bottom line is that it is the duty of website owners to create contents with authority.

Based on the public announcement made by John Mueller, word count is not considered when it comes to search engine ranking. Word count does not mean quality because there are pages with many words but no coherent thought. Despite this, a website should not have shorter content alone but a combination of longer contents too.

AMP might have been ignored when deciding on the ranking but experts from pwd believe that AMP is necessary due to the rise in mobile searches. In fact, almost 31 million domains are already starting to use AMP in the last year alone. SEO is no longer focusing on desktop but mobile devices too.
