Trustpilot Investigates Unusual Influx Of Reviews On A Honey Pot
A good majority of job seekers turn to review sites because they want to evaluate a potential employer. It is very likely that potential candidates have come across King Kong digital marketing reviews from current and former employees who want to share their experiences working with the digital agency. While most reviews are generally satisfactory, there is also a sprinkling of negative reviews.
How does a negative review affect an organization? Bea Dixon was featured in a Target advertisement called “Founders We Believe In: The Honey Pot.” Dixon spoke about the difficulties of starting her own line of hygienic feminine products. Dixon was grateful to Target for the help the company provided to get stocked at retailers nationwide.
At the end of the advertisement, Dixon mentioned that it is very important for Honey Pot to succeed because it will encourage other black girls to come up with a great idea and enjoy better opportunities. The commercial which was released in early February was subjected to a wave of negative reviews. There were one-star reviews left on consumer review website Trustpilot that accused Dixon and Target of discrimination against white people.
One reviewer called for a boycott of Honey Pot and Target because they are racists. It also stated that hate comments against white people must not be tolerated. Another review accused Dixon of racism when she made the statement for the next black girl. Colour of skin must not matter because it is inappropriate.
Because of the high influx of reviews, Trustpilot issued an advisory that it is suspending review posts to give time to the content integrity team to investigate the highly unusual number of reviews. Since some of the reviews violate Trustpilot’s guidelines, they cannot guarantee whether the reviews paint a true picture of the company. Reviews are being posted based on an advertisement without experiencing the product.
While many potential applicants base their decision on King Kong digital marketing reviews on review sites, it is also important to research the company. Does the digital agency promote honesty and work life balance? Are there growth opportunities? Check the way the digital agency responds to and interacts with reviews.
