Some may call it crazy but the effect of content marketing cannot be denied. It is an important link that creates the trust between the brand and the consumer that eventually leads into conversions. In a data provided by Stratabeat, 80 per cent of decision makers in a company would love to get information through articles rather than advertising.

Unlike the other type of digital marketing strategies, content marketing should not be meddled with unless you have the knowledge. It is not recommended to create contents without planning the strategy to be used first. According to a research that was conducted by Content Marketing Institute and Marketing Profs, marketers that are employing documented strategy are more effective. They also face lesser challenge when it comes to the content marketing part.

Why should you plan a strategy for content marketing?

  • Majority of the campaigns are distributed into different channels. Content is then published in different mediums. This is one of the positive sides of content marketing, being able to reach the target audience with different channels. One of the problems that marketers commonly experience is publishing contents that are not cohesive. Most of the time, it is scattered in many places and it tackles many topics at one. This will eventually cause confusion in the audience.
  • In order to stand out from the crowd, your brand must have a strong and unique identity. This is very important in today’s business because of the high competition. Content marketing is a good way for marketers to express their personality and be able to contribute what they are good at. For your brand to have its own, strong identity, it is important that a strategy should be devised.
  • Publish more contents for an effective marketing strategy. Marketers often feel that they are the ones in charge in making sure that the businesses have some sort of tangible progress. Strategy is important to know the amount of contents that need to be created, the places or mediums where it should be posted as well as the perfect time to publish it. A strategy will make all these things easier.
